Join me on this trip to the outskirts of Lisbon where I visit one of the oldest palaces in Portugal, the Mafra National Palace is synonymous with culture, beauty and architecture! Inside I took a walk through the facilities where important kings of the Portuguese country stayed! We are going to start visiting the convent room that in ancient times was a hospital attended by nuns, then we will walk through beautiful corridors full of decorations with more than 1000 years well preserved! make yourself comfortable and enjoy this story!🧭🚩
Acompañame en este viaje a las afueras de Lisboa donde visite uno de los palacios mas antiguos de Portugal, el Palacio Nacional de Mafra es sinonimo de cultura, belleza y arquitectura! dentro di un paseo por las instalaciones donde se hospedaron importantes reyes del pais luso! vamos a comenzar visitando la sala de convento que en la antiguedad era un hospital atendido por monjas, luego caminaremos por hermosos pasillos repletos de decoracion con mas de 1000años bien preservados! ponte comodo y disfruta esta historia! 🏯🏰

If you want to come on vacation to Portugal and want to visit a free place, with history and live a unique experience then the Palace undoubtedly has to be an option, a few kilometers from the center of Lisbon we can visit this architectural work of art in the city of Mafra, if you have your own vehicle, you only need to pay some tax and parking fees, it is a very beautiful and inexpensive experience, we know that we are in the right place when we come across the famous sculpture called: (To the value of the infantry), this piece we brings nostalgia and memory of those brave who died in the first world war where Portugal lost thousands of soldiers!🌍💥
Si quieres venir de vacaciones a Portugal y quieres visitar un sitio gratis, con historia y vivir una experiencia unica entonces el Palacio sin duda tiene que ser una opcion, a pocos kilometros del centro de Lisboa podemos visitar esta obra de arte arquitectonica en la ciudad de Mafra, si tienes vehiculo propio solo necesitas pagar algunos tasas de impuesto y estacionamiento es una experiencia muy bonita y economica, sabemos que estamos en el lugar cierto cuando nos topamos con la famosa escultura llamada: (Al valor de la infanteria), esta pieza nos trae nostalgia y recuerdo de aquellos valientes que murieron en la primera guerra mundial donde Portugal perdio miles de soldados!😨🥺
ARRIVAL AT THE PALACE?🌍/LLEGADA AL PALACIO🚩🧭
Once I park my car and pay for the "parking" of 2 euros for 4 hours then I was ready to start my tour on this beautiful structure, the first thing that captivated me was its enormous size, it is very colorful! Inside we have access to a church that is also famous here in Mafra, I will not give details of it because I made a post about the church! when we walk towards the entrance we pass by a series of giant sculptures that reflect the divine power of the Christian religion are various angels and apostles of the bible! then we passed a corridor until we reached the museum where we bought the tickets!😍😍
Una vez que estacione mi carro y pague el "parking" de 2 euros por 4 horas entonces estaba listo para comenzar mi recorrido sobre esta hermosa estructura, lo primero que me cautivo fue su enorme tamaño, es muy colorido! dentro tenemos acceso a una iglesia que tambien es famosa aqui en Mafra, no dare detalles de ella porque hice un post sobre la iglesia! cuando caminamos hacia la entrada pasamos por una serie de esculturas gigantes que reflejan el poder divino de la religion cristiana son varios angeles y aposteles de la biblia! luego pasamos un corredor hasta llegar al museo donde compramos las entradas!📕💳🗒

Para que tengas una idea de lo enorme que es el palacio el departamento mas grande esta destino para albergar una libreria que fue preservada desde la epoca de los reyes de Portugal hablamos de muchisimos años, tienen dentro una de las colecciones de libros mas grande de Portugal, el palacio ocupa una extension de mas de 38.000 metros cuadrados, y sabes cuantas divisiones tiene? 1.200 osea hablamos de mas de 4000 puertas!🤓🤓

Se que si quieres conocer el palacio con calma y fotografiar todas las cosas importantes y con historia dentro puedes tomarte facilmente un dia en este sitio historico, Mafra nos demuestra todas las cosas bonita que tiene Portugal para mostrar a los turistas que buscan viajar al pasado y aprender la cultura Europea! y no solo hablamos de puertas, libros y adornos! el palacio ofrece una seccion historica para aprender como los artistas Portugueses realizaron estudios de arte con grandes profesores Romanos!🎨👩🎨👨🎨
INSIDE THE PALACE?🌍/DENTRO DEL PALACIO🚩🧭
I can give you a recommendation if you want to visit the National Palace of Mafra you should choose a weekday, there are much fewer tourists than on weekends, and with this Covid situation it is uncomfortable to walk and you have many foreign people by your side, I hope you serve my advice! After buying the tickets that were only 2 euros per person, then we went to the first section which is the garden before entering the museum! then we will walk inside the palace and go to the museum area to learn a little about the evolution and construction of the palace over the years!🕵️♀️🕵️♂️👨🏫
Puedo darte una recomendacion si deseas visitar el Palacio Nacional de Mafra debes escoger un dia entre semana, hay muchos menos turistas que los fin de semanas, y con esta situacion de Covid es incomodo ir caminando y tienes muchas personas extranjeras a tu lado, espero te sirva mi consejo! luego de comprar las entradas que solo fueron 2 euros por persona, entonces pasamos a la primera seccion que es el jardin antes de entrar al museo! luego caminaremos dentro del palacio y pasaremos a la zona de museo para aprender un poco sobre la evolucion y construccion del palacio a lo largo de los años!🤔😮😅
You have to prepare yourself because the palace is going to demand a bit of you on a physical level, you are going to climb more than 140 stairs, although if you are a person with a disability the palace is prepared for all types of public! Here comes the part that bothers me a little to relate? Where did Portugal get so much money to create a palace like this? Tienes que prepararte porque el palacio va exigirte un poco a nivel fisico vas a subir mas de 140 escaleras, aunque si eres una persona con una discapacidad el palacio esta preparado para todo tipo de publico! aqui viene la parte que me incomoda un poco de relatar? de donde saco Portugal tanto dinero para crear un palacio como este? bueno esta odisea solo pudo ser lograda por todo el oro que Portugal extrajo de Brazil!🌍🚩
MEDICAL ROOM?🌍/SALA MEDICA🚩🧭

El Palacio Nacional de Mafra es en Portugal el monumento con inspiracion de Barroco mas grande que existe en el pais, dar una caminata por estos pasillo es viajar al pasado y ver como el Rey de Portugal mando exclusivamente a los mejores artistas de la epoca, italianos y portugueses, dejar volar su imaginacion para crear hermosas esculturas y pinturas! nuestra siguiente seccion es una zona que funcionaba como enfermeria, era atendida por monjas aqui aprendemos cuales eran las condiciones con las que vivia un trabajador medico dentro del palacio! sabemos por la historia que apesar de ser esclavos quienes trabajan para la realeza vivian mejor que las personas con trabajos ordinarios!👸🤴👩🔬👨🔬
After investigating better there are many interesting things about the Palace I will try to summarize as much as possible I do not want to make this experience boring! Luego de investigar mejor hay muchas cosas interesantes sobre el Palacio tratare de resumir lo maximo posible no quiero tornar esta experiencia aburrida! pasamos luego por una seccion donde se guardan muchos accesorios de indole religioso, vemos muchas decoraciones bañadas en oro que pertenecian a varios sacerdotes de la iglesia que esta dentro del palacio! cuenta con 6 organos musicales.💎💎💎
I have a great weakness about the Christian religion and it is that I must recognize the great work that the church did preserving many priceless objects for many generations, I do not see it fair to talk about religion in a post, but I must admit that they have many beautiful jobs and Europe has the best churches on the planet! Yo tengo una gran debilidad sobre la religion cristiana y es que debo reconocer el gran trabajo que hizo la iglesia preservando muchos objetos invaluables por muchas generaciones, no veo justo hablar de religion en un post, pero debo reconocer que tienen muchos trabajos bonitos y europa tiene las mejores iglesias del planeta! Retrocederemos mas de 300 años hasta el momento donde el rey Joao V era la pieza principal de Portugal, fue este el personaje quien inspiro a todo un pais para la construccion del palacio mas lujoso del mundo en la epoca, estamos hablando entre 1707 a 1750! el rey Joao dejo en las manos de este osado proyecto a Frederico Ludovice, fue el quien dio las instrucciones a los artistas de como debian ser las pinturas y las esculturas! It seems a bit strange how a king orders to build something with such importance and luxury to turn it into just a vacation home, in reality the royal family did not live in the palace it was only a luxurious palace that at the same time was very close to the great Mafra natural reserve which was the place where the kings would practice the sport of "hunting"!🤯🤓
Parece un poco extraño como un rey manda a construir algo con tanta importancia y lujocidad para convertirlo en solo una casa de vacaciones, en realidad la familia real no vivia en el palacio solo era un lujoso palacio que al mismo tiempo estaba muy cerca de la gran reserva natural de Mafra que era el sitio donde iban a practicar el deporte de "caza" los reyes! 👨🎓🎨

King John's promise was that if Queen Maria gave him children then he would build a basilica and a great palace for her! more than 50 thousand workers participated in the construction of this colossal project!👸🤴
Por supuesto debido a la gran importancia cultural e historica el Palacio fue declarado Patrimonio patrimonio de la humanidad por la UNESCO en el 2019, Bien el origen de la construccion segun lo registros historicos mencionan al rey Juan V se dice que fue una promesa a su esposa, vaya regalo pienso yo.... La promesa del Rey Juan era que si la reina Maria le daba hijos entonces construiria una basilica y un gran palacio para ella! mas de 50mil trabajadores participaron en la construccion de este colosal proyecto!👸🤴👶

I was one of those people who said: "the people from before must have been bored, there was not much to do" yes of course, after seeing the amount of games including pool table that royalty had at their disposal, it was enough to change my way of thinking. think! REALLY IN THE 16, 17 AND 18 CENTURIES royalty had a great time! here in this room special events and parties were held!🤴👸
Yo era de aquellas personas que decian: "las personas de antes debian aburrirse no habia mucho que hacer" si claro, luego de ver la cantidad de juegos incluyendo mesa de pool que tenia la realeza a su disposicion, era suficiente para cambiar mi forma de pensar! DE VERDAD EN EL SIGLO 16, 17 Y 18 la realeza la pasaba en grande! aqui en esta sala se realizaban eventos y fiestas especiales!🎈🎁🎇🎆✨
HUNTING ROOM🌍/SALA DE CAZA🚩🧭
This was my favorite division! I am against this "sport" but if you saw the story of Queen Elizabeth you will understand that hunting was an activity that was synonymous with money and power! While royalty hunted for fun the people in the countryside hunted for survival and food! In this room more than 500 pieces of animals collected in the hunting of the kings are exhibited, from deer antlers to wild boar heads!🙋♀️🤦♂️🧏♂️
Esta fue mi division favorita! estoy en contra de este "deporte" pero si viste la historia de la Reina Isabel entenderas que la caza era una actividad que era sinonimo de dinero y poder! mientras la realeza cazaba por diversion la gente en el campo cazaba para sobrevivir y alimentarse! en esta sala se exhiben mas de 500 piezas de animales recolectadas en las cazeria de los reyes, entre cuernos de venado hasta cabezas de jabali!💥💂♀️💂♂️
LIBRARY🌍/BIBLIOTECA🚩🧭
This is the largest division of the palace and it houses more than 35,000 books of all categories and years, you do not have full access to the library but you can see and photograph many books dating from the 16th to the 19th century.📕📖📗
Esta es la divison mas grande del palacio y en ella se guardan mas de 35.000 libros de todas las categorias y años, no tienes acceso completo a la biblioteca pero puedes ver y fotografiar muchos libros que datan desde el siglo 16 a siglo 19.🚩🏰🏯

I say goodbye, I enjoyed this experience very much, and it really is something very economical. I recommend everyone to come to the palace, it is magical, amazing, historical! and most importantly, you are going to take a piece of Portuguese history to your home!😮🤔🤔
