Today 08/11/2022 a very important astronomical event occurs, and it is the last supermoon of the year, at this point our natural satellite will reach its largest size between 21:00-21:40 and of course I could not miss it ! Prepare my astronomy team to bring this exclusive to HIVE, but my work would not stop here... I also took pictures and filmed Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system! Join me to learn the characteristics of the moon (sturgeon).🔭🧠🌕
In this photo we see a big difference between the size of the moon in relation to the time, so watch from 22:10-22:20 the moon returns to its normal size and goes from being a "supermoon" to a common moon, therefore it was important to photograph it at the right time from 21:00, this year is almost over and astronomically there are only 5 full moons left to photograph, so it was important for me to capture the last supermoon, and I'm happy because I managed to bring to our community all the supermoons, from the worm moon to the blood moon! and the interesting thing is that despite the moon "being the same" when it is in its "giant" phase it has different "colors".😮🌕🧠
As the hours go by you can clearly see how the size of the moon increases and how its color also "alters", but why is the moon called that? According to the "legend" the American tribes baptized this supermoon as a sturgeon moon because in America the largest fish is called (sturgeon)! the association of the name was a simple comparison in the abundance of the fish in the lakes of America when we arrived in the month of August! The sturgeon fish is practically a prehistoric animal and already inhabited the earth 130 million years ago, it was practically a special animal for the American tribes that depended on it for their daily food!🪐👨🏫🧠
Super moon👨🏫🌕/ superluna🧠🔭
Here we see the full sturgeon supermoon! its maximum size is reached here in Portugal at 9:34 p.m., previously I explained why there is a supermoon, but in short the moon has an "elliptical" orbit and at the point when it comes closest to the earth "(perigee)" is that we can see the giant moon! but there are not only "giant" moons, there is also the "micromoon" which would be the opposite and is the reason why sometimes we see the moon smaller than normal! I have to thank CNN for reminding me about this moon xD.🔭🌌🧠
This astronomical phenomenon happens very fast, and I observed that in periods between 5 to 10 minutes there were big changes in the size of the moon, so it was a very beautiful experience because I saw the moon change size and color! In just 40 minutes, to take advantage of the night I wanted to photograph Jupiter, it is NOT recommended to do astrophotography with a full moon, but I still got good results!👨🏫🧠🔭

The giant planet is believed to have more than 600 moons, and only 4 can only be seen with my telescope! (Calisto, Io, Europa, Himalia), it's the first time I've managed to film Jupiter so enjoy the video!😮😮
