Hello friends addicted to science, today heaven allowed me to carry out a study on one of the most interesting constellations (Canes Venatici) which is actually not very old because it was only discovered in the 17th century, therefore it had not been registered in the "Book of Ptolemy" who would be a pioneer astronomer in registering about 48 constellations, but the Greek scientist could not observe Canes Venatici, however thanks to technology I can see it and photograph it today 01/12 at 2:00 am, enjoy my experience!🧠🕵️♂️🌌🪐
Observaciones🌌/Observations🙇♂️🔭📚
I managed to capture a beautiful photo of the constellation that is also called "hunting dogs", as I mentioned before it is not a very old constellation since it had not been described in the book of Ptolemy; It is mentioned for the first time in the 17th century by the Polish "Johannes Hevelius", it is a small constellation that can be identified with the naked eye by the union of two bright stars, which are the alpha and beta stars! As you can see in my photo, the Alpha star is always the brightest of all! To look for it in the sky we use the coordinates: (Between 37° S and 90°N, Between 62° S and 37° S)🌌🧠📚🐶🐶
Estrellas Brillantes🔭🧠/Ruling Stars🙇♂️💥
We start with the brightest star in the constellation Canes Venatici, it is (α Canum Venaticorum), it is also known as: "Cor Caroli", it was baptized with this name in homage to King "Carlos II", as you can see it is not a single star, on the contrary, is considered a binary star, that is, "two stars" that are so close that at first glance it gives the impression of being one! it is quite bright, it is visible because it is "110 light years away". The primary star has a magnitude of (+2.89), "technically it is considered a white star, it is twice as large as the sun and has an illumination of 83 times greater than our sun!🌌📚🌍
There is an interesting astrophysical fact about this star and that is that its magnetic field is "1500 times stronger than that of the earth" it presents one of the most powerful magnetic fields registered to date! its temperature is 10,300 kelvin.😲🤯
We went to the beta star, which is the second brightest in the constellation of the "hunting dogs", it has a magnitude of (+4.26), I noticed that it is not as showy as the alpha star and I had many difficulties to photograph it, it is a single star located about "27.4 light years away", is considered a "yellow dwarf star" a curious fact about this star is that it is compared to our sun because they are very similar! astronomers call it "the solar twin". Its mass is just "2% less than the sun" and a temperature of: "5896" this makes it 25% more luminous than the sun itself.🤯🌌🧠🌞
deep objects🔭🧠/Objetos profundos🙇♂️💥
To locate the deep objects within the constellation of Canes Venatici I used my SKYMAP program that tells me in real time where the objects are in the sky, after locating Messier 94 I photographed it and used the SN8 program to see the details of the galaxy, M94 is a spiral galaxy discovered in the 17th century located "25,000 light-years away".🤯🧠🌍🕵️♂️
