I think that visiting this abandoned sanatorium was a good experience to live in your own flesh a dark day of Halloween, this local tourist site is located in Cabeço de Montachique in the Council of Loures, it is very easy to get there you can access it with your own vehicle or take a public transport, the truth is that the sanatorium tells a very interesting story that I am going to reveal to you in this post!😮😮
Creo que visitar este sanatorio abandonado era una buena experiencia para vivir en carne propia un dia tenebroso de halloween, este sitio turistico local se ubica en Cabeço de Montachique en el Consejo de Loures, es muy facil de llegar en el puedes acceder con tu vehiculo propio o tomar un transporte publico, lo cierto es que el sanatorio cuenta una historia muy interesante que voy a revelarte en este post!😲😱
AN INTERESTING DAY🚙🧭/UN DIA INTERESANTE👨👩
I decided with my wife to go out for lunch at a local restaurant, we ate a seafood soup! And while we were sunbathing in the restaurant, we thought about which place to visit? Where would our new adventure run? Well, while we were searching in googlemaps we saw this interesting structure that has several myths including one of them "it is said that it is haunted" and that many times they do rituals and cults within the tunnels of the sanatorium! We are not one of those people who are scared by anything, and we decided to go exploring!😮😛😄😄
Decidi con mi esposa salir a tomar un almuerzo en un restaurante local, comimos una sopa de maricos! y mientras estabamos tomando sol en el restaurante, pensabamos que sitio visitar?¿ a donde correria nuestra nueva aventura?? y bueno mientras buscabamos en googlemaps vimos esta interesante estructura que tiene varios mitos entre uno de ellos "se dice que esta embrujado" y que muchas veces hacen rituales y cultos dentro de los tuneles del sanatorio! no somos de aquellas personas que se asustan por cualquier cosa, y decidimos ir a explorar!🍜🍛

En la actualidad la propiedad es privada, el dueño esta vivo y es un empresario! puso el sanatorio a venta por unos 800.000 euros, esta construccion comenzo en el 1900 y nunca fue acabada debido a algunos problemas financieros, cuando le preguntan al propietario "Fracisco Grandella" que tiene de especial este palacio para invertir casi un millon de euros en esta propiedad, el afirma que fue construida sobre un tesoro que fue enterrado, meses despues la propiedad fue comprada por el Señor Roseiro quien tenia en mente construir un albergue de ancianos!🚩😲
Eventually Roseiro would change his mind and stop the sanatorium project, and had different ideas of what to do with his property ??? among them create a space to hold congresses! Then in 1918 he chose to build a luxury hotel taking advantage of the old structure, only because of those changes of ideas and transforming a sanatorium into a hotel was something that the Lisbon chamber was not going to allow and a dispute began that would last for years, the construction He stopped waiting for the camera to allow the hotel to be made!🙂🙂
Eventualmente Roseiro cambiaria de idea y detuvo el proyecto del sanatorio, y tuvo diversas ideas de que hacer con su propiedad??? entre ellas crear un espacio para realizar congresos! luego en 1918 opto por construir un hotel de lujo aprovechando la estructura antigua , solo que por esos cambios de ideas y transformar un sanatorio en un hotel era algo que la camara de Lisboa no iba a permitir y comenzo una disputa que durarias años, la construccion se detuvo esperando que la camara permitiese realizar el hotel!😱😱😶😶😶😶

Y porque Roseiro si ya gano la guerra contra la camara por la construccion del hotel aun no avanza? cuando se le hizo una entrevista el afirmo que en esa disputa contra la camara de Lisboa paso mas de una decada y actualmente tiene 72 años por lo que el reconoce que esta en una edad avanzada para trabajar en este proyecto! en su entrevista el explica que coloco un letrero muy discreto anunciando la venta de la propiedad y que lo tuvo que retirar porque diariamente recibia cientos de llamadas "curiosas" preguntando sobre la propiedad!🤣😂😅😅😅😅

Roseiro dice que apesar de tantas llamadas nunca aparecio un comprador serio! dijo que estaba dispuesto a negociar la propiedad y recibir menos de 800.000 euros, pero que no era facil de vender porque se necesita un comprador especifico que quiera invertir en un lugar como este! actualmente muchas familias y turistas vienen al magico sitio a leer un poco sobre su historia y tomarse fotos!🤑🤑🤑🤑

Nobody really tells the true story but the first owner of the property stopped construction because between 1918-1925 there was a tuberculosis epidemic throughout Europe and of course Portugal was no exception! What the sanatorium, being built in a very distant place from the central city, would be ideal to treat patients with tuberculosis, in reality Mr. Grandella could not finish his project because after the First World War the country suffered a terrible fall in its economy and many people like Grandella ended up financially bankrupt!😥😥😥😨😨😨😨😲😲😲😲😲
En realidad nadie cuenta la historia verdadera pero el primer dueno de la propiedad detuvo la construccion porque entre 1918-1925 existio una epidemia de tuberculosis en toda europa y claro Portugal no fue excepcion! lo que el sanatorio al estar construido en un sitio muy lejano de la ciudad central seria ideal para tratar los enfermos con tuberculosis, en realidad el senor Grandella no pudo terminar su proyecto porque luego de la primera guerra mundial el pais sufrio una caida terrible en su economia y muchas personas como Grandella acabaron en quiebra economica!😮😮😮

Luego de muchos sacrificios de la familia Grandella todos los hermanos pudieron reunir el dinero suficiente para avanzar con el proyecto, hasta que en 1921 se desarrollo la vacuna contra la tuberculosis, la enfermedad dejo de ser mortal y el proyecto de Grandella ya no tenia sentido alguno! el basicamente se quedo con su dinero en mano!! pero?? que sucedio con el dinero? segun el propietario actual fue metido en un cofre y enterrado en la propidad!🤔😮
The project has not progressed since the property was purchased, the strange thing is that the current owner never began an excavation work in search of the treasure that had been buried in the 20th century! Nobody bought the sanatorium and it is still for sale!😏😮
El proyecto no avanzo desde que fue comprada la propiedad, lo extrano es que el actual propietario nunca comenzo un trabajo de excavacion en busca del tesoro que habia sido enterrado en el siglo 20! nadie compro el sanatorio y aun sigue en venta!😊😊
Actually the sanatorium has a very heavy air in it there are a series of tunnels that I imagine that at the time they were the sewage systems, or where the drainage pipes were supposed to be placed, when you walk between these tunnels you see things written on the walls, candles everywhere, many dolls, animal bones, which obviously gives the impression that the place is a place to practice rituals!😦😈👿👹👺💀😶😶😶😶😶
En realidad el sanatorio tiene un aire muy pesado en el hay una serie de tuneles que me imagino que en la epoca eran los sistemas de aguas negras, o donde se suponia que iban a colocar las tuberias de drenado, cuando caminas entre estos tuneles ves cosas escritas en las paredes, velas por todos lados, muchas munecas, huesos de animales, lo que obviamente da la impresion que el lugar es un sitio para practicar rituales!😟😟😟😟😱😰
The space is very nice to take some photos and as it is in an elevated area when sunset comes you have a sky full of many colors and you can take great photos here! Of course the problem is who wants to spend a night here xD, when it is known that witchcraft is a common practice in the sanatorium! I must admit that I had a lot of fun, it was a fantastic experience practicing local tourism! I hope you enjoyed the story!😏😏😏
El espacio es muy bonito para tomarse unas fotos y como esta en una zona elevada cuando llega el ocaso tienes un cielo lleno de muchos colores y puedes tomar grandes fotos aqui! claro el problema es quien quiere pasar una noche aqui xD, cuando se sabe que la brujeria es una practica comun en el sanatorio! debo reconocer que me diverti mucho fue una experiencia fantastica practicar turismo local! espero que hayas disfrutado la historia!😮😮😮
