Convent Of Jesus🧭
In 2007 the convent together with the church formed part of the "European" heritage. In 1490 the convent of Jesus was founded by the initiative of "Justa Pereira" who was at the time a very important character who was part of the Portuguese royalty, In the year 1491 King Juan II made a set of sponsorships to the convent, for such work he commissioned the architect "Boitaca" who had a very particular history since "nothing was known about him" although many believe he was French!🌍🚙🚙

The museum has the influence of conveying to its visitors the end of the religious orders in Portugal and in the 18th century the museum was used as a medical facility, the hospital was closed in 1959 with the construction of the Setubal central hospital, we come to the "chapter room" which is said to be the most important in the museum and here we can see the works of the artist "Antonio Rodriguez" in this space the nuns of the time came here every day performing their prayers!🙂🤩

Justa Pereira had that desire for several years to want to build a convent dedicated to the divine image of Jesus, when the convent was built she had the intention of receiving 13 nuns who would do the "divine-catholic" work when Don Manuel ascends to the Portuguese throne on The convent underwent many modifications, D. Manuel wanted to mix the Manueline architecture with a Gothic experience, when all the modifications were made the convent was already capable of receiving some 33 nuns for religious service🧕🧕

JESUS CONVENT CHURCH🕍🧭 / IGLESIA CONVENTO DE JESUS🌍🚙
This beautiful little church was built between 1490 and 1510 and without a doubt it is the most important monument in Portugal because it is believed that it was the first to apply the "Manueline" architecture, I loved it because the pillars, the ceiling are too cute and you feel that gothic touch! In addition, the walls have many inscriptions in Latin with amazing images!🤯😲
