I continue with my trip in the beautiful city of Guimaraes until I reach the highest point where I would find one of the most beautiful and most visited tourist sites in the oldest city in Portugal, it is the "sanctuary da penha" here you have one of the best views of the city and you will visit a site full of stories, there is a legend that the virgin "Nossa Senhora do Carmo" which is referred to as "virgin mary" appeared many years ago to some residents, since then the site is protected between a small cave where it is believed that the divine image appeared!🍍🚙👨💻🧠
Continuo con mi viaje en la hermosa ciudad de Guimaraes hasta llegar al punto mas alto donde me encontraria con uno de los sitios turisticos mas lindos y mas visitados de la ciudad mas antigua de Portugal, se trata del "santuario da penha" aqui tienes una de las mejores vistas a la ciudad y visitaras un sitio plagado de historias, hay una leyenda que la virgen "Nossa Senhora do Carmo" a la cual se refiere como "virgen maria" aparecio hace muchos años a unos pobladores, desde entonces se protege el sitio entre una pequeña cueva donde se cree que aparecio la imagen divina!🚩⛲🕍⛪⛪✨

Lo que mas me atrajo del sitio fue su historia, hay una leyenda muy interesante que se cuenta en el sitio turistico, hace cientos de años se aparecio una imagen de la virgen en una pequeña cueva en lo mas alto de la montaña, el pequeño templo religioso data de 1880 por lo que es bastante antiguo y desde entonces se ha preservado intacto, hasta podrias ver el sitio exacto donde se cree que aparecio la imagen de la "virgen maria" si vienes de visita a Guimaraes entonces no puedes perderte este lindo espacio que ademas cuenta con un hotel lujoso a tu disposicion en lo mas alto de la montaña, y un mirador con una vista de 360grados hacia toda la ciudad!⛲🚩👨💻🍍

El paisaje es demasiado lindo, me imagino que esta zona debe llenarse en verano porque el clima es bastante agradable y hay muchas zonas de sendero por aqui! hay quienes usan los senderos para llevar a la cima de la colina donde esta la capilla, por eso vale la pena visitarlo hay muchas cosas interesantes para descubrir aqui! el templo fue construido en 1882, hay dos cosas para ver aqui la cueva donde esta la imagen de "maria hija de jesus" y esta capilla donde se venera a "san cristobal" o en portugues "S. Cristóvão", el templo tiene un aspecto mucho mas moderno y fue construido en la decada de los noventa🚙🧭🌏🌏

Si eres de aquellos que gustan viajar sin gastar mucho entonces en mi experiencia adoraras el sitio porque no debes pagar entradas para nada todo es totalmente gratis! y el estacionamiento es muy grande por lo que supongo que en verano alberga muchos turistas! y si quieres algo mas romantico con tu pareja o familia tienes el hotel. 🚙🚩🧭
S. Cristóvão chapel / capilla S. Cristovão👳♀️🚙🌏
I did some research on this chapel and I read that it was built almost entirely of granite material, and for this the available granite of the region was collected, its construction was based on the "Art Deco" style very popular in 1930, sadly in In 1939 the chapel suffered a fire and many old images were destroyed, so almost everything had to be restored and it was reopened in 1947🥰😮😮
