Hello friends! Today is a very hot Sunday and what better than taking a walk along the "Tejo" river here in Portugal, I live a couple of kilometers from a bay called "Seixal" and here our municipal chamber has weekly water activities such as kayaking "or old boat rides! We found it very interesting to take a ride on a boat that was restored and is over 100 years old. Join me on my river crossing!🚩🧭🌏🌅

Who would say that we are inside a "Portuguese caravel" that served to discover many countries and containers! this iconic boat is a symbol of the cultural power of our country! they were invented in the famous age of discoveries between the "XV and XVI" centuries, the ship is not totally original and it is a replica of almost 98% but it preserves very old pieces! here you can take a tour and travel back in time, you also learn a lot about what the lifestyle of sailors was like, who could last months inside these boats!😲😲⛵
We learned many things that we did not know, this particular ship spends the summer season here and serves as a "mobile" museum within the bay, but when it is winter it moves to Spain to teach our culture in the neighboring country! the "caravels" were very fast and could mount some cannons making them war machines! let's remember that in the fifteenth century Portugal and Spain were world powers and practically divided the world into "two" parts to divide conquered territories! and of course this created great rivalries!😲📚💥

This boat was baptized as "Bote do Dragao" and let's say that it is also a replica of a common boat used by the locals for various uses! Some of these boats served to transport people from one side of the bay to the other! others were modified to fish in the river! In short, it is a very nice experience because we experience what the transportation system was like in the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th here in "Seixal" this is obviously something that benefits us since the municipal chamber is injecting a lot of money here and this raises the value of our departments! for example living here next to the bay is 1 million euros😜🤑🚩🧭
It's a pretty good and fun activity if you do it as a family, we take a walk along the "tejo river" and we have a view of the other side of the river in the city of "Barreiro", as you can see in the photos this area is quite important because it has a ship transport route! our tour lasted 40 minutes! and we can repeat it as many times as we want! I take this opportunity to invite you here to Portugal and even better visit the southern part of the country where you can do many cheap and fun activities! we have the best beaches in the country!🧗♀️🚴♀️🌄🌏🌅
Who doesn't like free stuff? xD, I congratulate the camera for the contribution it makes to our little community, we were already finishing and it was time to change our clothes and go to lunch!😜

We arrived at the best restaurant in Seixal to eat the best meat! We took advantage of the fact that there was an event, as you can see, they were cooking a pig weighing more than 80kg, this traditional cuisine is unique to our country and quite primitive! originally from the interior of the country in the "alentejo region"💥💥💥
With this delicious dish I say goodbye, it was a fantastic Sunday! and again we enjoyed the best weekend ever! you know we are waiting for you here!💖👨👩👩🦱👶🌕🌞
