CRISTO REI😮🌏🗽
This is one of the most important monuments in Portugal, the Cristo Rei is a religious structure that rises to more than 82 meters high, it is located next to the Tejo river, which gives an excellent view of the April 25 bridge! It was listed as one of the tallest buildings in the country with 110 meters high in total!😍😍

It is a walk that I did yesterday so sadly I did not have access inside the structure, only on the outside but I managed to shoot several photos to show them! summarizing its history a bit: Basically, Cardinal Don Manuel Gonçalves Cerejeira on a visit to Brazil in 1934 observed the statue that exists in Brazil of Christ the Redeemer, this motivated him to build a similar one in Portugal, in 1959 the monument was inaugurated and the people Portuguese paid votes for not having participated in World War II😮😮😮
In 2007 the so-called Cruz Alta, from the Sanctuary of Fátima, was placed in front of the monument. It currently has a hostel for pilgrims, several conference rooms and a cafeteria where visitors can stop to rest.💂♀️💂♂️🕵️♂️

In my personal opinion it is a very nice and beautiful place to get to know Portugal a little more, the monument is a place with very easy access, basically it has a transport that passes in front of it! currently the entry for adults is 6 euros! which seems to me very economical! If on your next vacation you want to enjoy a beautiful view and history, you cannot miss this tour!😎😎😎

JARDIM DO RIO😮🌏🗽🌅
After visiting Cristo Rei we can go to the Jardim do Rio, a small park with a viewpoint to enjoy a beautiful view of the river and the 25 de Abril Bridge, it is easy to access for free and a good environment to walk and share with the family! also a great attraction to practice photography!😊😍🧑👨🧓

Between the cliff of Almada and the Tagus river, Jardim do Rio presents itself as a wide and refreshing space, a suitable place for a pleasant walk along the Ginjal pier, or simply to relax on the grass next to the Tagus. The Boca do Vento panoramic elevator, opened by the municipality in June 2000, allows access to the garden from the viewpoint, offering visitors an exemplary view over the entire riverside area of Almada🧏♂️🙆♂️🙆♀️🙋♀️.
From the Fonte da Pipa, a fountain ordered by D. João V in 1736, to the houses of Cais do Ginjal, Jardim do Rio extends along the escarpment line, standing out as a small gem of the river front of Almada . Its leafy vegetation and modern urban furniture, perfectly match the freshness of the waters providing an atmosphere of communion that soothes the senses.🧑👨🧓
