Hello friend, generally, the foliar fertilizer plants absorb them through their leaves, in the case of chives, this absorption is low, I would say 50% if we compare it with other crops such as tomatoes, and this is due to the fact that the Chive leaves have a waxy coating like onion leaves, for this reason, when I'm spraying I try to cover the leaves and the soil, so that it absorbs part of these nutrients through the roots.
