"Wasteful"

Eight hundred million, that’s one in nine
Starving alone, while you and me dine
Undernourished, so tired and worn
So many wishing, had never been born

Three million kids, who starve every year
Back for seconds, am I catching your ear?
Thirty year war, numbers almost the same
Wasteful in ignorance, just totally insane

One in six underweight, developing trend
Africa and Asia, how can we defend?
First world order, growing our waste
Don’t know about you, leaves a bad taste

Women farmers, need access to tools
Problems reduce, we all are such fools
A lesson to chew, when feeling well fed
The world fades away, so many are dead
