I have the original papers, and I will scan them and send them to Walter over the weekend, so Walter has it as proof.

This of me putting down that in order for this to work, it would have to be a dignity status. They would move from DACA status to dignity status, and the dignity status is non-transferable, non-petitionable, and it is a 10-year process.

After 10 years, you would qualify for a green card, and then you'd have to do the five years of a green card to then apply for citizenship. That would put chain migration on a delay of 15 years, in most cases killing over 50% to 60% of chain migration. Everybody was on board with that, and if somebody that's in this space sees I'm talking and then calls me, I'm sorry about that.

So in exchange for that, we would get border restrictions to the tune of stay in Mexico would become law, that they would be processed in Mexico, that they would have to seek asylum. Anybody coming to the states that is not Mexican, obviously, would have to seek asylum at the first country they entered, which in this case would be Mexico, putting the onus on Mexico and making that federal policy, right, instead of allowing people to transit through Mexico and come claim asylum in the U.S. And then another thing would be to put a suspension on the issuances of B-1, B-2 visas for 10 years. Essentially, only people who already have B-1, B-2 visas, which is tourist visas, which is the one that's the most abused and has a 60% overstay rate on, would have to be paused for 10 years and only renew those who have a good track record of coming in, because obviously, we didn't want to kill tourism dollars in the states, right? So it was a massive package, and then it would create a law that I thought, again, my idea, anybody who is caught entering the United States at a non-port of entry, meaning if you're just crossing the border through a non-point of entry, you would be banned from admittance to the United States, and you would forfeit your asylum claim, even if you had a valid claim.

That would create deterrence. The bill would also expand immigration judges, which is something I'm very passionate about. We only have 500.
