I'm a bit 50/50 with this concept. From a business perspective, if something is just added without precision just to "have it" doesn't always make it a good idea. Things needs to be carefully added is my take, not to say that engagement isn't a great idea. But let's look at Apple, every button has a specific reason and thought out with great care and design.
