At last, a famous scene
I didn't expect it to be so easy to get to
It's about a 10-minute walk from the station to the shrine. But if you want to go up to the park. You have to climb a long flight of stairs. But it's worth it.

They are built on a site that was carefully chosen in accordance with Feng Shui principles 鈽笍: the 120 square kilometer site of the Tombs is located in a valley on the southern slope of Tianshou (Heavenly Longevity) Mountain 馃椈 and is surrounded by the Dragon 馃悏 and Tiger 馃惎 Mountains (to deflect evil spirits and chilling winds from the north) and a branch of the Yanshan River 馃挧 flows in front of the site.

January is not one of my favourite months; in fact, I could say that I would gladly do without it. I live this time of year with a strong desire for sunshine, for air, for the rebirth of nature and myself. If I have to find the good - even in this kind of weather - it's that I train myself to wait and yearn for something new. By a mysterious association of ideas, I have always associated winter with loneliness and melancholy (perhaps because I was conceived in summer?).
This is how I find myself in a thought by Dietrich Bonhoeffer (a German Lutheran theologian and philosopher), which in itself relates to the absence of loved ones, but - I believe - is also applicable to life as a whole: "The more beautiful and dense the memories, the heavier the separation. But gratitude transforms the torment of memory into silent joy'.There. Only in this way can the cold also become warm.
