Disclaimer: I don't watch hockey
There's been talks about having an NHL team in both Houston, TX & Austin, TX. Normally, I believe less is more but I would be ok with expansion because 7 of the 32 current teams are in Canada. The seven teams in Canada are Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, & Winnipeg.
If the two teams come to fruition, Austin should be in the Western Conference, & Houston should be in the Eastern Conference to keep the number of teams even in each conference.
