Beloved, what fame do we try to record in this life, is it the fame that can lead you to the Kingdom of Heaven or the fame for people to celebrate and hail you in this World? We can acquire names, titles, being celebrities, renowned and famous people around the World, yet we may not have fame in the Kingdom of Heaven, our fame may be around only through this life.
The Bible verse of Proverbs 22:1 (ESV) says that: "A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold." It is trying to mean a good name in the Kingdom of Heaven is desirable than riches. Someone may be well known on this Earth, meanwhile he may not have good reputation in the Kingdom of God. We may be well praised with men on this Earth, but our lives may not be conform with the Christian faith; our lives may not be pleased with God Almighty. Many people are living their lives to just please people, they want to create fame before people, they do what the society or people will appreciate, meanwhile it might not be desirable before God.
We must try to record the fame that will give Salvation and save our lives rather than recording fame that will lead us to destructions when we die. How do we see our ways in this life? In no way should let others direct our lives that are contrary to the word of God. We should always let the word of God matches with our lives.
"There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death."(Proverbs 14:12NIV)
Do not look on the side of what others are do and say that I will follow them. Always consult the Scriptures whether it conform with what they are doing before you take part. Do not wear anything which will turn lure people and trap them to sin. Do not follow some fashion in this days that will turn jeopardise your life at the end that will lead you to miss the Salvation of God. Appreciate that you are made different by God with different purpose. Try to test all life with the word of God, read wide the Bible that will give you more knowledge and understanding, and attack this with prayers which also protect us from temptation as Jesus said: "Pray so that you do not enter into temptation!"
