Beloved Brothers and Sisters, there is one thinng in this World thst we should cherish so much, the most precious, valuable and treasures in life and very difficult to gain. It is either we acquire it permanently or lose it permanently: "That is the kingdom of God." Many are we who joke with the searching of this Kingdom of God, we don't often show seriousness in the attempt of searching for it. We sometimems think that it is a funny story that we always tell so we don't delight of looking for it. But Jesus Christ gave us a picture of how precious this Kingdom of God is in several occasions. The most valuable asset.
Matthew 13:44(ESV)
"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field."
The Kingdom of God can be said to something precious and very expensive that can't be compare with any other thing. You can testify that any thing that precious and very expensive is difficult to get, it's not easy getting for it. You must acquire the Kingdom of God with all seriousness, you've to fight it, sometimes you can lose your life in the cause of searching for. You must struggle in many occasions in attempt getting it and defending it, because, people may sometimes challenge you why you should get it. You would tormented and tortured, you may be imprisoned like what Paul and Silas passed through in the attempt of getting it. You would be beatten and insulted, some people may plot about you to kill you because of having the intensions to defend it, but in all if you lose hope, you would reject it and lose it eternally.
Because it is very expensive and precious than anything else, the man in Matthew 13:44, went and sold all his assets to come and buy the whole field where that hidden treasures is. I believe that hidden treasures might be located at a small portion, but the man decided to buy the whole field, because he wouldn't know exactly where that precious thing was. This shows how important that hidden treasures is. Also, the man new that if he mistakingly buys one portion and miss where exactly that hidden treasures is, he has lost it, and wouldn't get anything, meaning that all his assets have lost in vain. We must again learn something from the man, he sold all that he has, not leaving a single item. This means that even if it would take us to sell all our property or possessions and even if we have to lose our lives to get, as far as it is the Kingdom of God, we should do that. Note, the Kingdom of God is precious than anything in this World, hence we can't let it by-pass us to lose our lives eternally.
