Philippians 1:15-18(NIV)
This is another witness Apostle Paul was bearing for Christ Jesus after being imprisoned. He suffered in the hands of the unbelievers who thought he was misleading the laws. He was caught beaten up severally and brutally tortured because of Christ Jesus. And the most sad aspect was to send him in prison, with the idea by the Anti-Christ the name "Jesus Christ" would not be mentioned.
Glory be to God that when Apostle Paul was even imprisoned, the Gospel was preached. The unbelievers were surprise the reason why Christ's name could spread, because as the Book of Philippians confirms those who loved Christ were preaching with goodwill. Apostle Paul was put in chains, but because of Christ who always seek our redemption, Apostle Paul was saved. The chains were broken and doors were opened for him to leave.**
What do we learn here? We shall be in hatred, yet the Gospel wouldn't be shut down. We shall be strugggle with our enemies, yet Christ's name would be proclaimed. We would be insulted and so many falses accusations would be leveled against us but that doesn't mean that Christ name wouldn't move forward. Many are suffering from so many repurcussions and tribulations but the words of the Gospel of Christ would not be muted.
Christ Jesus is always with us as our defense and guide. We are always protected by Christ Jesus when we carry the Gospel across all the World. Because, Christ knows that we are enemies to the agents of the Devil. We never walk alone, when disseminating the Gospel. We can learn from Apostle Paul's actions of wutnessing for Christ even when he was in pains.
