Las cosas comienzan a reorganizarse poco a poco nuevamente y por fin puedo publicar este vídeo que tenía listo desde el mes pasado.

Things are starting to fall in its place again and I can finally post this video I made the past month.

Si ya llevas un tiempo leyendo mis posts, sabrás usualmente paso mis tardes en el casco histórico de mi ciudad, específicamente en La plaza Bolívar. Hasta donde sé, en cada ciudad del país, hay una plaza con el nombre de este prócer y suelen ser muy bonitas y agradables.

If you have been reading in here for a while you may know that I usually spend my afternoons on the colonial zone of my city, in the Bolivar Square, to be accurate. If I’m not wrong, there’s one of this squares in every city of my country. They tend to be quite pretty and peaceful.

❀ ¿Qué me inspiró? ~ What did inspire me? ❀

El motivo real de esta ilustración es que había prometido a @santa-morgana333 un regalo si cumplía con algo en específico. Generalmente tratamos de reforzarnos positivamente para motivarnos a cumplir nuestras metas, pero ya hablaremos de eso luego. Duré un tiempo considerable en ponerme manos a la obra con esta ilustración, dado que no tenía muy claro qué quería ilustrar, hasta que al final me decanté por plasmar algo de la cotidianidad que compartimos. Desde hace casi un año o más, de cuando en cuando, camino a la plaza, pasamos por una licorería cercana y compramos cervezas, nos sentamos en la plaza a conversar y pasar las cálidas tardes. La primera vez fue hace casi dos años, si no me equivoco, cuando ella hacía pasantías cerca de allí, junto con otros amigos en común.

The real reason behind creating this illustration is a promise I made to @santa-morgana333 of making her a gift if she fulfilled a certain thing. We are generally trying to give each other a positive reinforcement to help us achieve our goals, but we’ll talk about it later. It took me a long time to finally start creating this illustration since I wasn’t very decided about the theme until I finally chose to draw something from daily life I share with her. Since almost a year or so, now and then we pass by a liquor store near the square. We buy some beers and sit to chat in the square banks as the warm afternoon goes by. The first time were about two years ago, along with some mutual friends.

❀ ¿Qué materiales usé? ~ What did I used? ❀

Como normalmente venía haciendo, he usado marcadores de varios tipos, dado que algunos poseen más pigmentación o transparencia que otros. Paper Mate Jumbo y punta fina, Prismacolor Premier y Sharpie fueron los protagonistas tanto del delineado como del coloreado. Personalmente, me gustó mucho como me quedó la camisa de Morgana y el negativo que hice con mi vestido. Fue divertido realizar una ilustración con elementos de mi ciudad, muy probablemente ésto me lleve a continuar plasmando en papel más de los sitios que veo día a día.

As I’ve been usually doing, I used several types of marker. Ones are more transparent or pigmented than the others. Paper Mate fine and Jumbo, Prismacolor Premier and Sharpie were the stars on the inking process. I personally liked a lot the outcome of Morgana’s shirt and the negative I made in my dress. It was fun to draw things of my everyday life. I’ll probably keep at this soon.

❀ Música ~ Music ❀

Para este regalo especial, quise usar música igual de especial. Desde hace algunos años, que un muy querido amigo me presentó a la banda Kashmir, sus melodías y letras se han ganado un lugar muy especial en mi corazón. Hay unas cinco o seis canciones en específico que tienen un gran valor para mí y esta es una de ellas, pues va totalmente en el hilo de mi sentir. Mi versión favorita de esta canción es un acústico hecho con la gente de Noir TV. Puedes verlo acá abajo:

For this special gift I wanted to use an equally special music. Back in few years ago, a quite beloved friend showed the Kashmir band to me. Their melodies and lyrics have earned a very special place in my heart. There’s about five or six songs that I value the most and this is one of them for its very near to the things I feel.
