The California wildfires have burned a quarter million acres.Destroying nearly 800 homes and damaging over 150 more. The largest of these fires in Ventura county has burned an astonishing 230,000 acres. To put that in perspective the entire city of Chicago is 150,000 acres. The Ventura county fire is now only 10%contained. The Santa Ana winds are expected to slow from what has been, at times, hurricane strength, down to 20-35 mph. Which will hopefully, allow a chance to start getting more control over the blaze.
