Hello and welcome to my Blog 😊
How was your Christmas? I hope everything went well and that it was spent with those you love the most. Back in Málaga, this time we embarked on an adventure that, I confess, left me with butterflies in my stomach. I'm not afraid of heights, but I admit I have vertigo. That's why this was a challenge proposed by my husband, one that I accepted albeit with some apprehension.
The day was beautiful, blue skies, no clouds, and the sun shining bright! Off we went on our great adventure. The Del Rey paths is a true paradise for nature lovers and adventurous souls. I must confess I immensely enjoy hiking in nature (even though I'm terribly afraid of snakes), and this place boasts an unparalleled beauty. Along the gorge, cliffs rose, covered by vegetation clinging to the rocks.
The Guadalhorce River flowed calmly far below (very, very far below), and we could almost see the rocks at the bottom.
Each step felt like a victory, a mix of adrenaline and wonder in the face of the immense landscape. The views were breathtaking, and I had to stop to take in the grandeur unfolding before me and gather courage to continue.
At one point, I encountered a suspended bridge stretching over an abyss. The challenge was significant, but I wasn't going to give up. My heart began beating faster, and I proceeded with determination, always looking straight ahead. The wind whistled and swayed the structure, but the view from up there was indescribable. The sensation of being on top of the world was overwhelming.
As the day progressed, the sunlight changed, painting the cliffs and vegetation with golden and orange hues. Every turn revealed a new wonder, a distant waterfall, a hidden bird's nest, or a concealed cave.
The fresh breeze carried the scent of wildflowers and pine trees, heightening the senses with every breath. The sounds of nature, from the birdsong to the murmuring of the river below, created the perfect soundtrack for this excursion.
Each step back brought a sense of gratitude for having experienced such an incredible day. On those suspended trails, I found more than just adventure; I found peace, beauty, a profound connection, and above all, a sense of victory because I managed to overcome my vertigo, and that I will hold dear in my heart.
What I learned from this visit is that many times in our lives we put up invisible barriers. These are the ones that hinder our growth on a personal and professional level on a daily basis. We believe that we will not be able to do it without first trying. If you had shown me images of the place we were going to, I would most likely have said no. I knew I would be in a high place but not so high and with such narrow paths. So take risks, go without fear and as I read the other day, "When they say you can't do it, go out there and do it. And if you have doubts, do it again!
See you around.
Wishing you much peace and health
