HIVE OPENMIC WEEK 102; TOUCHING SOULS || 'SOUL OF MY SAVIOUR' WITH FLUTE, VOICE AND RECORDER
Hive openmic week 102, it's good being here again. Our theme for the week is 'TOUCHING SOULS' In line with the theme of the week, the title of my song presentation for this week 102 is; 'SOUL OF MY SAVIOUR'. I chose this song particularly because, I believe that the touch of Jesus creates absolute impact in our souls. Also, when we receive a touch from Jesus, we will be able to make meaningful impact in touching the souls of others.
LYRICS OF THE SONG
Soul of my Savior sanctify my breast,
Body of Christ, be thou my saving guest,
Blood of my Savior, bathe me in thy tide,
wash me with waters gushing from thy side.
Strength and protection may thy passion be,
O blessed Jesus, hear and answer me;
deep in thy wounds, Lord, hide and shelter me,

Guard and defend me from the foe malign,
in death's dread moments make me only thine;
call me and bid me come to thee on high
where I may praise thee with thy saints for ay.
This is a beautiful classic Catholic hymn, used by the Church for a couple of centuries. The Latin text of this prayer dates back to the 14th century.
It is still sung today in many conservative or traditional Catholic circles, usually as a Communion or Offertory hymn.
