4 am and I could hear my father coughing his throat out,
My sister next to me, in bed, with an aching belly,
Our dog next to her just vomitted something from its mouth,
4 am and I'm bending on my knee.
I'm reminded, you, The Lord wouldn't abandon us,
But that too, sometimes the answer is a "No",
I understand and believe there's nothing to rush,
Because you can heal anything, everything in one go.
It's February, the month of my scrutiny,
And it's only been a week i got off my sickbed,
I'm wondering why, life is no easy as it seemed,
But is full of pain, suffering and death.
So many unanswered prayers and cries,
They beg and plead and promise to you,
For a boon of healing that they cannot buy,
I'm wondering, why is it so hard for you.
But if you are keeping an ear to me,
I pray for all the world's pain to disappear,
For a millisecond and set us free,
From the Lucifer's threat, with a little prayer.
