In case you haven't seen it 
Starting 1/30/22 Pizza will start paying out 12% APR in PIZZA tokens to those who have the token staked and meet the minimum amount (just over 30) to qualify. This will be paid out on a daily, yes I said daily, basis and will be automatically staked for you. Those who understand the principles of compound interest know that this means if you leave it alone it will actually add up to more than 12%. Staking rewards have been hinted at and talked about for a while and I can't begin to explain how awesome it is that they have arrived. Now on top of all of the other benefits of having your 'Za staked you're earning for it as well. There was also talk about a phase two of staking rewards that is still in development that would be payed out on a weekly basis. Beard also lays out clearly in the post that this program fits within the 30 year tokenomic plan for the project, which is nice to not have to worry about something nice biting me in the butt because tokenomics got wonky.
Beard also hinted at some other things in his post which line up with some of the discussions that have been had in the discord. Some of the hints were about play2earn and about engage2earn. How specifically they will be implemented I don't know, heck maybe I'm just reading to much into things, but with the way this project is moving I surely don't want to miss out when something new comes along. The PIZZA project already has a slight amount of engage to earn what with the pizzabot and the giveaways in the discord requiring certain message counts in order to enter for your chance to win. It will be exciting to see if, when, and how those things are implemented and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more hints about those in the future.
For now though I have been scrambling to find ways to increase my PIZZA stake as much as I can between now and Sunday to maximize the benefits of the new staking rewards program from the get go and before the sellbook gets to thin sand the prices shoot up. All in all it has been a VERY exciting week for the PIZZA guild and the way beard works and all the hints he's dropped I think it's just the first part of a very exciting year for those involved.
