So here it is, my first post into this. Honestly, it took a lot of self convincing before I decided to start doing this because I'm naturally a very private person. That being said I genuinely want to become more personally involved with Hive and it's members and to help this thing grow, the only way to do that is to open myself up. From here forward, for the purposes of these posts I will start and end my weeks on Saturdays. My posts will generally follow this outline- daily thoughts, weekly recap (where applicable), monthly recap (where applicable), and then financials whether that is monthly goals/report, or weekly updates on progress. This week will be missing the weekly recap as I haven't been posting and want to start from the beginning.
Daily Thoughts
Today, while relatively uneventful in and of itself, was an interesting day. Saturdays are always a long day for me. They are the day that I have to drive a 5-6 hour round trip to take my daughter to her moms house to drop her off or pick her up. I typically like to have another adult ride with me to help with the boredom of the drive and for my own witness for my safety (there is still court stuff going on, and my soon to be ex-wife has been proven to be lying in court). Today was unfortunately a drop off day. I love having my daughter home, and with pursuing full custody t definitely makes me feel better when she's here. Today was also different than the past several Saturday's. Since this whole battle has started my mom came out to help me get my new house set up and to help with childcare while I find a daycare for my daughter when she's here. This week my mom went back home, meaning this today, and this week, I'm in my house alone missing my kid and worrying about her. There are some upsides, I get to spend more time being active in the HIVE community, I get to spend more time playing through my new game Days Gone, and as we write this I'm enjoying some whiskey while sitting on my porch trying to enjoy the quiet, but sometimes the quiet is just a reminder that my daughter isn't here. On a more positive note, with being able to be more active on here and my life calming down again I will be able to engage more frequently, do more research into things I'm interested in, come up with more projects I'm interested in, complete some projects around the house, and maybe even watch the Chiefs game tomorrow. I didn't intend to get all depressive on everyone but I wrote from the heart and I suppose that's just how my heart feels today, but I am alive and doing my best to thrive in my circumstances and that's what matters. Now, onto my financial goals for the month.
Monthly Financials 9/11/21-10/11/21
This month I'm going to focus on just a few tokens as the rest of my tokens are either to small of a balance on to have metrics or I don't have a continued source of income for. Now I have mentioned several times in previous articles that I have not put any of my own personal money into the token's here on hive, or anywhere else for that matter. I don't have enough expendable income to facilitate that at this time. Therefore, all of my earnings on hive have been through my own work, and the engagement of people here on the hive chain and will continue to be that way for the foreseeable future. My hope is to be able to add at least one new token to my goals every month for the next few moths at least. Now, onto my goals to reach by or on 10/11/21:
HP Goal: 50; current 37.077 74.154% of goal
HBD in Savings: 15; current 3.773 25.16% of goal
Staked Sports: 20k; current 15,997.849 79.989245% of goal
I have gone with some more conservative figures this month as I have only been on hive for about a month and hive is the first blockchain community I have been a part of. I have also recently changed from 100% power up to 50%/50% split between HP and HBD. hopefully in coming months I can not only add more tokens but more liberal goals as I gain more metrics on what my typical gains are and what to set as goals. Goal progress will be reported weekly with a monthly assessment.
