The life of an economist often revolves around numbers, graphs, and constant flows of information. Each day is filled with reading reports, following global developments, analyzing data, and preparing insights that can help businesses and policymakers make better decisions. It鈥檚 a career that requires full attention, strong analytical thinking, and often the ability to keep up with a fast-paced agenda. While I truly enjoy what I do, I also know that such intensity can sometimes feel overwhelming if we don鈥檛 pause and give ourselves space to breathe.

For me, one of those pauses comes in the form of something quite simple: a cup of detox tea. After long hours of focusing on the global economy, trade flows, and energy transitions, I find it refreshing to step back for a moment, pour a warm cup, and just enjoy the present. The taste is soothing, the warmth is comforting, and the lemon inside somehow feels symbolic鈥攁 reminder that even small details can bring balance in the middle of big responsibilities.

We often talk about balance in economic models, whether it鈥檚 supply and demand, growth and stability, or risk and opportunity. But balance is just as important in our daily lives. No matter how demanding the agenda is, finding personal rituals that help us stay grounded is essential. For some, it may be exercise, reading, or a walk in nature. For me, in recent days, it has been as simple as sitting down with my tea and letting my thoughts settle.

This moment of calm doesn鈥檛 mean disconnecting from work or ignoring responsibilities鈥攊t means returning to them with a clearer mind and renewed energy. Just as economies thrive on sustainable growth, people thrive on sustainable routines that allow both productivity and peace of mind.

So here鈥檚 my question to you: how do you find your balance? What rituals or small habits bring you calm in the middle of a busy day? 馃尶
