Today I got a chance to try a top-level m4/3 system tele lens from Olympus - the Olympus M.ZUIKO Digital ED 300mm f/4 IS Pro
Besides its native 300mm FOCAL LENTH, in adition I also got a Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL MC-14 1.4x Teleconverter
What I discovered also much interesting, was its capability to take small objects form a very short distance, therefore almost making macro shots. The minimum distance with the x1.4 converted reduces from 1.4 meter to almost <1m
Here are a few samples:
[Distance = 4-5 meters]
[Distance = 1-2 meters]
All together it became equivalent to 840 mm GUN on a Full frame camera (300 * 1.4 * 2)
Needles to say it was also lots of fun shooting into objects 50, 100, and sometimes even 300-500 meters away.
I will make a new, separate post on this experience.
What do you think?
