Seriously? Why do you even want to put Hive on Ledger?
The whole idea of cold, hardware wallet is to put keys in a "cold" place, in a place where nobody can physically access them.
As long as my master and owner keys (of the accounts holding my Hive, Steem, Leo's) are NOT on a connected device, and better yet - had even never been on a connected device - I'm OK
That old fashioned "paper wallet" .
Or, it can even be on an encrypted USB flash, somewhere in deep corner of a safe.
That clever design of Steem/HIVE/LEO key system for me is just as good as Ledger.
In fact -even better.
Hardware wallet's designer/manufacturer is that third party player, which I need to trust.
There is no much trust needed to any third party, if you create your Hive accounts master/owrner keys on your own.
On a clean, trusted, offline PC, and make sure these 2 keys has never been online. Until it may one day be needed.
Naturally, all the same applies to your recovery account as well.
Am I misleaded somewhere?
If somebody see me somehow wrong - please please respond !
