For as long as she can remember, Maddie has always dreamed of being a singer. She grew up watching the best singers of her time, and they inspired her to follow in their footsteps. So, at a young age, she began writing her first songs. But she realized one thing: her voice was too raspy for the kind of music she aspired to sing—opera. This frustrated her greatly from the start; she couldn't believe she couldn't sing as high as she wanted. As a result, she grew up with very low self-esteem and constant self-criticism. Despite everything, she didn't stop creating her own songs. When it came time to launch her music career, she faced her first negative reviews. When she went to record studios, they rejected her because they believed her voice wasn't suitable for what they wanted.

This, of course, made her incredibly sad, and she didn't know what to do. She considered giving up on her dream. But then a man she met at one of the studios recommended something. If her voice wasn't suitable for opera, it didn't matter; she could always completely edit it to sound the way she wanted. Maddie thought it was an excellent idea because it was a faster way than having to struggle with her condition. So from then on, she began editing all her songs, and fans knew her from the beginning with a voice that wasn't her own.
But nobody knew, so it wasn't a problem. Her success began to grow with each new song she released. Fans loved her perfect voice; it was operatic, something no one could imitate. And of course, that was only possible digitally. By this point, Maddie had already released several albums and hundreds of songs. There were many concerts, but she used playback in all of them. She never used her real voice, and up to this point in her entire career, she had never used her real voice. Despite all the success, she wasn't happy because she was living a constant lie. She wasn't herself; she couldn't use her real voice. The music she thought would be her life had become a prison.
She also lived in constant anxiety because the higher she rose, the easier it was for someone to notice that she wasn't really singing. Only her closest circle knew. But she knew that a leak, a comment, or anyone who let their tongue slip could bury her career. So, despite all the success, she didn't feel right. His problem was that he didn't want to lose what he had already achieved, so for a long time he continued to perpetuate his lie.
But sooner rather than later, a critical moment would arrive where she would have to decide whether to tell the truth in time or risk everything being exposed through a leak or a technical glitch at a concert where the playback failed. Would she change? That remained to be seen, because she had been invited to a concert. But in this case, she couldn't bring her staff, her inner circle, who would cover up all her misdeeds. She would have to reveal and explain everything to these people, and the risk of being discovered would increase significantly. The worst part was that if she refused the opportunity to perform, she would lose her sponsors.
This was the moment her world crumbled, as her career depended on her choice. After much deliberation, she decided she could no longer live a lie. So, she uploaded a video to her social media explaining everything. She apologized for not speaking up sooner and for not being herself from the start. She expected a barrage of criticism and the loss of sponsors. But the opposite happened; people praised her honesty, and the sponsors forgave her. On the day of the concert, she sang with her own voice for the first time. The crowd was huge, filled with anticipation. People loved her singing; in fact, they liked her authentic version much more than the one she had created. This made her incredibly happy and freed her from her inner prison. Her only regret is not having told the truth sooner.
