Hi Everyone. It's another Tuesday. The last Tuesday in March and I'm here to share some tunes with you. Choosing a particular music was a challenge, getting inspiration from the chosen songs too was ridiculously annoying cause nothing was making sense. I wasn't feeling it. You know that state where everything flows? Like you just flow with whatever you're doing like you're in a trance? It was a whole mess getting there,I mean rocks and potholes and stuff on the path there.
We're going with our number one song as Old Town Road by Lil Nas X. Now,I know a lot of people have their own opinion about this particular artiste. And I won't judge or criticize by talking about what changed or what happened. He grew up I guess. But aside that, he's an amazing singer and has the talent for it.
Next up,we have Beautiful Pain (Losing my Mind) by Polo G. Now, not everyone likes trap music or rap. But if you're staring outside your window and you need something different, something relaxing and at the same time hard, something soothing and romantic, this is the song for you.
And for our final song, Hakuna Matata(a Disney song). Hakuna Matata is a Swahili word for "no worries". It's a really happy song. Something to lift your mood when you're down. Something to stop that overthinking or anxious feeling. This song is originally from the cartoon Lion King and although it might seem childish to still be listening to this song. I have no other choice than to admit that yes, I am still a child. This song has lifted my spirits a lot and I am in no way ready to let it go.
Notice how the songs I used don't match in any single way? The first one being a rodeo song about horses and shit, the second one about a sad love song and the third one a Disney happy song. Music can drastically influence our lives, how we're feeling at particular moments and what we were feeling before the music. What I'm trying to say is; music is incredible! I mean why clean or do chores without music? Why go on a tour without a tour music playing in the background? Why do anything without music? It's practically a way of life. It can be a sense of self too! The way artistes find themselves in music. They sing once or twice and say "Yes,this is what I want to do with my life. Make music". Music saves,it heals. Same way Doctors save lives, Musicians/Artistes/Singers do too!
