As a student right now in the University of Lagos in Nigeria has been rough since the newly elected president of Nigeria came into power, the person of president tinubu. the first two months of him being in power have changed a lot of things in a negative direction. starting from the increment in petroleum price, increment in school fee, electricity bill is just outrageous, the list just keeps going on and on.
As a student right now, everything has changed totally. As we keep learning, pursuing growth, battling with challenges, and also keeping our aspirations alive, we all can make this possible only if the country favors us. we can not give up now because we know there is a reason for everything, and we hope this journey is a transformative one that will shape us students into the person we all wish we would be in the future.
In this write-up, I will be covering the life of students in the educational realm and also beyond the educational realm
# The exploration of Knowledge:
in the heart of every student, the reason why we enroll in a school is because we want to acquire knowledge, ability, proficiency, skill, mastery and enlightenment of what we can use to solve problems or achieve whatever definition we regard as success. all these come with repercussions that involve us being dedicated and having an unwavering mentality during this journey from day 1 to the last day.
Beyond the lecture room
Student life in school is not only attached to classrooms alone. As they embark on the journey to acquire more knowledge, they also create time to learn skills outside of what was been taught in classrooms and sometimes it might be related.
this life outside the classroom is needed as a student because through this life they have the opportunity to earn some money through side hustles just like writing here on ecency and they can earn Hive for themselves which will enable them to solve some financial problems without needing the help of their parents.
Friendship and connection
we all know how it can be stressful being a student, that is why we need friends for emotional support, friends that help with word of encouragement when you are down and also friends you can confide in when it seems nothing is working out for you.
apart from what was mentioned above, we also need a study partner who can only be our friend. the fact that school life is a life of exploration and a lot of fun activities do happen, we need companionship for attending events such as birthday parties, and church activities. let us not forget about networking opportunities in the future.
Challenges and achievements
Life as a student is not complete without challenges. that is bsically what made us a student, because through those challenges we are able to develop new set of skills, through that process, our confidence increase substantially and in this process our level of adaptability would be unmatched.
The pressure to do well academically, managing our social life and our academic life and some other activities, will determine what kind of student we are as well as our decision making skills. and all these are what shape a student's life in terms of character, perseverance, and humility ( basically character development), as they prepare for real life world after school.
Dreams and Ambitions
As a student, your dreams and ambitions are the foundation, they are the driving force that kept you going even in times when you almost gave up. your dreams and ambition give you a sense of focus and direction and setting of goals or tasks for yourself can only be possible because you know you have a future ambition you would love to be involved with.
when you finally achieve your dreams, then you will be able to have an impacts and contribution on people's life, people that look up to you, people that see you as their mentor in life.
Even if you do not want to achieve your goals anymore, think about those that it would affect, think about those that look up to you and make sure you do not fail them.
To every student out there, that is going through a lot of challenges and you are still dedicated and still have not lose the passion, i wish you all the best and i pray God will provide for you any way you might be lacking. you are the future and you are shaping a future of endless possibilities.
