There are numbers of men who drive to attend church, listen to the Word of God on a weekly basis. They sit around watching the gospel being preached. But, however, there are times they fail to listen to what they are truly saying to them. You know, they simply miss out on getting there. It's not about hearing, but it's doing the will of God.
The Bible warns us about this in James 1 through 2. It says that, but be ye dwellers of the world, and not hearken as only, if you do not deceive yourself.
This verse is also clear about everything we need to know. When we listen and fake to act according to the Word of God, then we are lying to ourselves. God does not wish that we gather this message.
In Matthew 13:13.
And it says, They have seen what they see not, nor hearing what they hear not, nor do they understand.
There are individuals who need to go, but they have a closed heart. In my opinion, one must humble themselves. But, I said correction.
According to Psalm 119:105. The Bible says that thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and light unto my path.
To conclude, it is very dangerous to hear and not listen to that word. This may lead us religious and not righteous. We do not merely listen to the Word of God, but we must follow it.
Follow what is being taught there and what it is written in the Bible. And then we can really do the will of God and carry His Word.
