On the shores of the Red Sea there is a mosque that is very famous especially among the pilgrims, both Umrah pilgrims and hajj pilgrims from Indonesia and around the world. At the beginning of the establishment of this mosque was named by the name of Fatimah, as time goes by the umrah pilgrims and hajj pilgrims who visit this mosque from various countries often call this mosque with Fatimah Az-Zahra Mosque. Fatimah Az-Zahra is the name of one of the daughters of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu 'alaihi Wa Sallam. In order to avoid misunderstandings about the name of this mosque which is not related to the name of the Prophet's daughter, the Saudi government finally changed the name of this mosque to Ar-Rahmah. However, among the umrah pilgrims and hajj pilgrims from Indonesia, this mosque is better known as the Floating Mosque. Actually this mosque is not floating on the Red Sea water, it's just because the pillars of concrete buffer of this building is located on the shores of the Red Sea, when the sea water is in high tide, the concrete pillars will be drowned or covered by sea water, so it looks as if the mosque is floating on the water. There are no extraordinaries of this mosque, other than as a place to visit for the umrah pilgrims and hajj pilgrims from various countries in this part of the world.
