As you make up your mind to become an entrepreneur, you have to stay focused on producing result, I have read this statement a hundred times and the truth is sometimes it scares me to a fault. I am certain of the number of people awaiting me to produce result from my business and that is just what everyone is concerned about.
The sleepless nights you had, the short-cuts you took, every other thing you did does not matter and it is definitely not their business because all they want is to know the result you are producing. People do not flock around a struggling entrepreneur they only flock around the successful ones, so while running our business as entrepreneurs, we should just place our focus completely on result.
There is no type of business that does not need a customer, customers are the ones who make a business great and we need to put in a lot of energy to either getting or keeping them.
Potential Customers: There are always customers we have not meet and since customers are very vital to a business, we need to constantly look for how to improve and grow our customer base. Customers are never enough so we need to keep looking out for ways to get in touch with them and bring them into our business.
Existing customers: The fact that you got a new customer does not mean that you should discard the old one, it is very easy for customers to change their shopping centre and it then becomes your responsibility to keep the existing ones. In order to keep existing customers, you need to ask them about how they truly feel about your product, they will open up to you and tell you about the existing flaws in your company that you may be blind to and definitely after you hear from them you know you need to act fast before they find someone else with that service and abandon you for them.
The most appropriate way to become a successful entrepreneur is by learning the difference between what people say and what people really do. There are so many businesses that have gone through a proper market research before they came out but still failed eventually, rather than totally relying on people’s opinion about the type of product they want, it is better to study their actions before any concrete decision is made eventually, it is the usual human nature to say one thing and act in a different way.
