For this week , Afri-Tunes week 68 , I will be presenting to you "Omekannaya" by Mercy Chinwo.
When it comes to worship songs one of my favourite Gospel Artists is Mercy Chinwo, She sings from the depths of her Heart, Her hits song Excess love is a Beautiful Worship that touches the spirit and soul.
Omekannaya in Ibo Language means Replica of God, Literally Jesus Omekannaya, means Jesus the replica of God or Replica of his Father, There might be broader meanings to it, I think my IBO people can throw more light to it in the Comments section.
I love IBO language even though i find it so difficult to learn, you can tell by the way I messed up the lyrics of the song 馃ぃ.
But kindly bear with me, my voice too is a little cracked, I had a very long day.
I chose this song because, It a song of deep worship to my Helper , Maker, and saviour Jesus Christ.
