A Good Care in a Good old Age

We all love to live long in good health, company And Health.
Nobody wants to be a lonely old Man or woman, we all want our children to check up on us once in a while, not to just be like an outcast sent to the hands of a stranger to be taken care of. That's just the way I feel about taking care of our Parents.

Here today in our prompt for the Week:
We will be discussing on which is best to do for our old Parents: should the family take care of them by looking after them all together or should they be sponsored to stay in a Retirement home where there are a lot of professionals who are assigned to do the Job of Care giving.

For me, family care is the best option,

Many people may have a contrary opinion about the parents being taken care of by Family or say the family, instead of being taken care of in a Retirement home.

What exactly is a retirement Home:

A retirement home is also known as a retirement community or senior living center, is a place where older adults can live.

Here in this home, the elderly people are assisted daily on Thier tasks, encourage social interaction, and offer services and amenities.

The homes usually provide several amenities and services such as:

• Housekeeping: Regular cleaning and laundry help keep things tidy.
• Meals: Dining options are always available 247 on-site.

• Transportation: Scheduled rides for appointments and social activities.
• Recreational activities: Options like fitness classes and arts and crafts.
• Health and wellness: Access to medical services and fitness programs.

Here are some others benefit of being in the retirement home:

Socialization(they meet new people), get adequate Support whenever needed, they also get a Maintenance-free living,
Their Safety and security is their responsibility.

The other means of taking care of our Old parents is Giving the Family members full responsibilities to care for them and by them alone.

Family care has a lot of advantages, here are some examples;

• Emotional support: the Family members can provide emotional support and even companionship. Old people constantly need to be active and constantly be given support always
  The Family members can tailor care to the individual's specific needs.
• Familiar environment: they can enjoy a comfortable stay always with peace of mind this is because most of time they are familiar with the place they stay and also enjoy comfort.
• Family care is very Cost-effective: Family care is usually very cosy effectively in comparison to the retirement home which is usually very costly to maintain.
  There might be some demerits which might greatly affect the operation of the Family Care, examples are:
  The money to take care of the parents expenses and others miscellaneous.

For Me I believe they would love to be around their loved ones, which was why I chose the family care.
