Hey friends of Hive, welcome to my blog. Happy weekend!
This is my entry for *Hive Music Festival Week 163, Round 2*. I did a piano cover of the song *Hallelujah* by Pastor Benny. While thinking about what song to present, I was reminiscing on different songs, playing the keyboard, and singing out loud. At first, I wanted to do *Daddy Wey Dey Pamper* by Moses Bliss, but I eventually settled for *Hallelujah* and decided to accompany it on the keyboard.
The reason I chose this song is because of what is currently happening in my dear country, Nigeria. Sometimes the situation overwhelms you so much that you become speechless the only word that comes out is *Hallelujah*, because you don’t even know what else to say.
Right now in Nigeria, nowhere feels safe. There are cases of kidnapping, banditry, and crises everywhere, and the government is not saying anything. Over 200 students were kidnapped from school, mostly girls. Not long after, they attacked a church, killed people, and kidnapped more. Everything is heartbreaking and worrisome, yet silence everywhere.
While playing this song, so many thoughts were going through my mind. I could only thank God and prepare myself spiritually for whatever comes, because our trust is in Him. Sadly, many people no longer rely on God for protection they are now looking for ways to arm themselves, even though it is against the law. But with the government failing the masses, crime continues to rise.
We really need your prayers from all over the world. Please take a few minutes to pray for the people of Nigeria both Christians and Muslims. Life is not peaceful here; everyone is living in fear and uncertainty.
We sincerely appreciate your support and prayers.
Thank you, and remain blessed.
