Good morning Hiveans. I want to sincerely appreciate your likes and comments on my posts, it really means a lot to me. This morning I will be sharing with you how I made a pant trouser using a Irish material with a basket pattern. The process of how I got it done is shown below:
MATERIALS USED
- Fabric
- Paper stay
- Hair stay
- Thread
- Zip
- Waist band
- Button
After measurements had been taken then I proceedes to cutting of the fabrics.
Points I considered for measurements in pant trousers are: waist, crotch, lap, knee and ankle. After getting the measurements for all these then I proceedes to cutting of the material.
Sewing process
- After cutting the fabrics, then I started the sewing process. First I sew the pockets.
- After both the side pockets and the back pockets has been fixed then I fixed the zip joining the fronts together.
- Thereafter I joined the backs to the fronts and added waist band.
- Next I closed the waist and the ankle to the laps, iron thoroughly, fold the allowances I added to the length and sew. Then I fixed the button and button holes.
