The holy week is the week Christians honour the last days of Jesus Christ on earth, his death resurrection and Ascension into heaven. The holy bible never used the words holy week but all the things Christian observe during the holy week is fully recorded in the bible. The bible gives detailed explanation about the death of Christ and his resurrection.
The term holy week was developed in the church calendar to use it as a term to describe the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The early church, as seen in Book of Acts, focused on preaching Christ crucified and risen, meeting regularly, and breaking bread together. The Bible does not command believers to observe a specific week each year in this structured way.
During the holy week, Christians are encouraged to be in their best behaviour by avoiding sin by all means and always praying to God for help and repentance. All Christians are advised to observe that time and keep it holy. What matters most is not the tradition itself, but faith in Christ and living in obedience to His Word.
