Forgiveness of sins is a important aspect for those who truly worship God from their heart. God wants us to forgive one another just as He forgive us everyday, we should let go of revenge, hatred and wickedness. Forgiveness is an act of obedience and love that brings peace to the heart and reflects God's mercy. However, forgiving someone does not always mean pretending the wrong never happened or immediately restoring trust.
The phrase "forgive and forget" is not directly stated in the Bible. Instead, Scripture emphasizes forgiving sincerely and choosing not to hold another person's sins against them. While people may still remember painful experiences, they are encouraged not to let those memories control their actions or prevent them from showing grace. True biblical forgiveness seeks healing, reconciliation where possible, and freedom from resentment.
