Doing good to all men is one of the clearest teachings of the Bible. It reminds us that kindness is not only for our friends, family, or people who treat us well, but also for strangers and even those who may not like us. When we choose to do good, we reflect the character of God, who shows mercy and compassion to everyone. The Bible teaches that love is practical; it is seen in our actions, our words, and the way we respond to people’s needs. Helping the poor, forgiving those who hurt us, and speaking gently are simple ways we live out this command daily.
Doing good to all people also tests the sincerity of our faith. It is easy to claim we love God, but it becomes real when we show goodness without expecting anything in return. True goodness flows from a heart changed by Christ and guided by the spirit.
Galatians 6:10 “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”
