Hello everyone,
my name is Oliver, I'm 16 years old and from Germany. I'm currently in my last school year at a Gymnasium (= German high-school) and will make my Abitur (not sure but I think it's similar to the American High School Diploma) next spring.
I enjoy programming, I've started with Java around four years ago. Since then I've also tried other languages like Python, JavaScript (together with some basic HTML and CSS) and currently I'm learning C++. However, Java is definitely the language I've spent the most time with, and even though it's far from perfect I really like it. I'm planning on writing a complete tutorial series about Java that doesn't require any prior programming knowledge, and additionally do some seperate posts about some of the projects I've worked on. I might of course also write about other languages than Java at some point.
I also like playing games like CS:GO, RocketLeague, GTA V, Garry's Mod, ARK etc. with my friends. And I have a vServer which I use for hosting a private Teamspeak for me and my friends, and for gameservers like a GMod TTT server. I might also do a post on how to setup and administrate such a server.
I heard about Steemit around half a year ago, and I even made an account back then but didn't use it at all, not sure why. Now I read somewhere about it and decided to try it again, and I'm really motivated. I have a lot of work to do for school (infact I should be studying for school right now, instead of typing this ^^) but I still hope I can spend a lot of time on Steemit as the concept is really interesting and from what I can tell so far the community is great too!
