Summer in Alberta is short. If you want to experience some, better don't blink.

But spring is even shorter. Sometimes there is none.

I never imagine these birds live here. But they do.

From the end of May until the end of August.

Just hang the feeder with sugar water and they will come.

This photo was taken on 29th of May in 2012.

That was the first time I saw a hummingbird in person.
