They are definitely getting used in a lot of home DIY solar setups. The batteries that I make are built with used Nissan Leaf modules.

That didn't help, just said the hardware was from China, and the software was from the Netherlands. No info on battery chemistry or configuration. I'm curious because batteries tend to be the worst possible

Adding a graphic card (also old, cost me $12 on eBay) that allowed GPU to be used by software cut my transcoding time in half, and eliminated my editing lag with larger files.
