You stated their downsides well...there are reasons they are cheap! would be fun to have a ruleset where recharge monsters went off on odd rounds instead of even rounds. Sucks when Uriel is about ready to smash someone for 12 damage and then gets stunned by a 2 mana card and then not only does he fail to attack, he can't heal.

Recharge monsters can be deadly when deployed well and protected. It's fun to melt cards that seem impenetrable by using recharge.
