It wasn't supposed to 'Trigger' anything but the logical sensory apparatus' peering about.
My hypothetical -if I were- scenario was not linked to personal feelings, but Logic. It is very logical to program your creations/inventions to 'Adapt' to foreseen changes, is it not? That is, unless you were creating something you wished to 'expire' after a certain period of time........like.....'Cyclical Consumption'....
