It is a labor of love. I've done most of the 35mm slides. Now I have a boatload of prints to get started on. :)

After I looked a little closer you are right, that is the mountain side with a bit of gray sky above it. I thought it had just made it into blue sky. May have to give the AI software another chance with

I used Photo Revive AI. I think I used a restore feature. It does look good. Only problem is it looks like it was a rainy PNW day that now kind of looks sunny and blue sky. :)

When making my latest post for #worldmappin I included a few images my dad took at this location in the past. The 35mm slides I scanned in were okay after I did some manual restoration. I gave AI a try

I didn't realize it was that deep until I read the wiki I attached to this post. Would be a fun one to maybe snorkel in providing it wasn't too cold. ;)

Yeah, it looks like there is still a pretty good canyon downstream as it continues its journey to meet the other river. :)

Oh yeah, lots of deer, a couple coyotes, and I maybe saw a lone wolf once but he moved away pretty fast.

The fort its self does have that look. The area around it is quite developed and somewhat abandoned. Most of the early 20th century it was army barracks/base. Most of that infrastructure is still there

Great post! Love the history. I look at the white mans incursion into this area a lot differently than I used to. Fort Langley reminds me of walking around Fort Vancouver to the south. :)

Shinrin-yoku (Forest Bathing) as the Japanese call it. :)

It's pretty safe but there is always a small chance there could be a cougar around. I have walked it a lot though and never seen one.
