So the emissions testing "Drive Clean" is free. But the license plate sticker renew price went up more than past increase which is already multiples of "reported inflation rate".
In the end the people with newer / hybrid / electric cars see a net increase in road cost and people with older cars may break with the "free" test. I don't have the numbers but I am guessing the net result is increased revenue because this Wynne government has been sneaking in fee increase here and there like driver test as well as giving discount here on one end and raising fee on the other. They need to pay for that gas plant scandal somehow right.
Some times I wonder if these politicians would do better as magicians since they can lie and divert your attention so well.
