I have not been around writing the old blog very much. I honestly have been working on the lake lot which does not allow me much extra time for any fun extracurricular activities. However being an old fart my body really needed a rest and after all isn't that what a Sunday is all about?

Mural of the Meadows of Dan
So being that they recently reopened the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia since the damage from the hurricane, I decided to check out the colors of the leaves and visit a place called The Meadows of Dan. Now the leaves are not at peak color quite yet, so I decided to make the best of it by stopping at a few of the local tourist trap type of stores.
This store is the picture of relaxation, just napping in a sunbeam !!
They had a great selection of Case knives.
They had the nice assortment of cast iron cookware including a lodge that features Dolly Parton lol.
