Another week...another weekend to look forward to. Thanks to you, sir 
Topic:
Your target achievement: What are you aiming at right now; let's call it a major goal you're looking to achieve within the next five years. What is that major thing you want to tick off and what actions are you taking to bring it to reality? What are the obstacles you face, how are you working to overcome them and what will it mean to achieve your goal.
I am a man with so much to do but sometimes I have to admit that I don't chip in as much as I should. I always believed in timing but I know that we don't have to wait for the right time always because it might never come. We have to make the time right. We have to turn imperfect situations to our advantage and that's what I have learnt in life.
The only thing I am aiming at right now is to get my book published. It has taken far too long for me with procrastination here and there. I have 80 years of experience in my young body and I've always believed that I have the words to change a life, at least. Changing the world starts with just one person. If you want to change the world, just try and change someone.
One thing I've always learned about books is that, when you read, you are reading other people's experiences because we don't have all the time to make all the mistakes. It's to our advantage when we read what others have gone through so we can make better decisions. I have the words to change the world and I am done biting my tongue. A lot of people have the voice of a lion but they have allowed their tongue to be tamed. This world would be a better place if we can help someone with the things we have been through.
Right now, the only thing I am working on is my book and I am glad that I have started. In the weekend post 2 weeks ago, I spoke about how my laptop isn't in good shape and I actually want to get a new one to enable me to gain speed with my typing. I am using wifey's laptop to do my typing which means I only have night time to do my typing since she would use hers all day. I tried sending it to my phone to see if I can continue with it but it was not as easy as I thought. This is the major challenge I am facing right now but it's not a big deal because I am using hers at night at least, better than not having anything to use.
I don't want to wait for the next 5 years to have this sorted out. I was supposed to have published it on October 20th last year on my birthday but I was always procrastinating. This year it is and I am putting all hands on the deck alongside the plans I mentioned many weeks ago about the initiative I wanted to use to help as many children to school or learn a craft.
I want to tick this book off this year. Even if I can't get it sorted out before my birthday, at least I should have been done typing it out, done with editing and it should only be left with tiny details before it's ready to be published. I am to be giving at least 2 hours a day every night to write on it while using her laptop and like I said, that's the challenge I have apart from the fact that I might have to struggle with sleep sometimes. I can't be pacing around while typing on the laptop...I would have to be seated and sleep would want to have one over me, plus I am not the type that sleeps during the day.
I would stick with my 2 hours every night. It might drag on for a bit but because I know how ideas flow to me the moment I get into that writing mode, I know I can cover as much ground as possible in the 2 hours I wanted to use. Of course, there would be times when I would do more than 2 hours and there would also be times when it would be less. I would strike a balance to birth it into reality because publishing this book would mean a lot to me.
It's a lifelong dream about my experiences in life...my upbringing...my decisions...bad choices and also the positives to take from it. I'm more of a real-life writer rather than a fiction writer. This is the pressing one on my mind right now alongside the educational initiative.
