During my younger age, I had issues with my immediate younger sister, and the problem was the fact that I couldn't tolerate her behaviour even as young as we were then. We had issues to the extent that one day why we fought she threw a knife at time...chai you can imagine that kind of frustration and the level of impatience between the two of us.
But after that fight, I told myself that I have to see who she really is and though we still have one or two issues sometime but I definitely understand her and really was able to tolerate who she really is up till date.
To begin with, what is tolerance?
The ability or practice of tolerating; an acceptance of or patience with the beliefs, opinions or practices of others; a lack of bigotry. From English Dictionary
To an extent I have been able to tolerate people, when I went to the boarding school. I have met people of different characters and background, to me I found it difficult at first to tolerate them but as time passed I was able to understand to some extent that if love is lacking in your relationship with people around you, you will find it difficult to tolerate them.
When you find it difficult to tolerate people around you, there will be conflict all the time, I am not saying people around you will have the perfect the behaviour, nobody is an angel but still with their behavior you still need to tolerate them in order for peace to reign.
So try today to tolerate friends, family and even your enemy, you don't know who is tolerating your behavior too, its a vice versa thing and try as much as possible to help someone with a bad behavior, your advice have a long way with your relationship.
